Description: The Director Compensation & Benefits is a strategic business partner directly responsible for planning, developing and implementing compensation programs for the Company and overseeing the administration of the full array of employee benefit programs. Researches and recommends compensation and benefits programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the Company`s strategic goals and competitive practices. The position is responsible for ensuring company compliance with federal and state regulations and laws, including reporting requirements. The Director attends and contributes to the Business Integration Committee (BIC). The position has 2 direct reports (Manager of Compensations & Manager of Benefits).
Experience: We prefer a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. 9+ plus years of experience preferably in the restaurant or retail industry. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and JD Edwards preferred. We prefer the candidate to be a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), and/or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. The candidate must be able to travel occasionally.

Title: Field HR Manager

Description: Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc./Rally`s Hamburgers is the country’s leading double drive-thru chain with over 800 restaurants nation-wide. We are seeking a Field HR Manager based in the Atlanta area. While reporting to corporate Human Resources, the Field HR Manager will partner with operators in the Atlanta, Memphis and New Orleans markets to execute HR initiatives in recruiting/selection, employee relations and other HR areas.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Initially focus on recruiting and interviewing management candidates for each market
• Guiding/training District Managers and General Managers in effective selection practices
• Ensure selection practices are consistent with Checkers/Rally’s guidelines and applicable Federal/state laws
• Partner with field operators to identify and solve work-related issues using comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, practices and all Federal/state laws
• Coach managers on handling employment-related issues, employee conduct and performance issues
• Partner with field operators to assess and improve turnover and increase employee retention
• Guide field operators in developing, communicating and executing performance plans
• Support corporate HR by conducting on-site investigations/audits and providing information to corporate HR
• Conducts HR audits of restaurants to ensure compliance with company policies/procedures and applicable Federal/state laws
• Conduct market HR training in employee relations matters, effective selection practices and compliance issues
Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• PHR/SPHR certification preferred
• 3 – 5 years HR experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting/staffing and employee relations
• Proven knowledge of local, federal and state employment laws
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide sound counsel to field operators on all aspects of HR
• Ability to remain objective and level-headed and exercise strict confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% required
• Experience working in both field and corporate HR capacity preferred
